Chamber meeting
The Summersville Chamber of Commerce held their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 8 at the Summersville Senior Center. The meeting was called to order by President Jessi Berry at 5:30 pm.
- The minutes for the last meeting where read and approved.
- The Treasurer's report was then given and approved.
- Old news: The question about the interest paid was from a time deposit paid twice a year.
- City of Summersville agreed to pay their part of the internet bill. The check will be given after their monthly meeting.
- All feedback was positive on the city wide yard sale.

Summersville Chamber minutes - 7/8/10
The Summersville Chamber of Commerce held their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 8 at the Summersville Senior Center.
The meeting was called to order by President Jessi Berry at 5:30 pm.

The Treasurer's report was then given and approved.
Old news:

All feedback was positive on the city wide yard sale.
The 4th picnic was not well attended. This will be discussed at a later meeting whether to continue or not.
The ribbon cutting at the Hut went well. The date has still not been set for the one at The Hungry Moose.
The Christmas parade will be set at our August meeting. The feedback we have been getting on day or night parade was more favorable for the night parade. Please fill free to input your choice on the Chamber website.
The Bake sale for Ethan Howell was a success. We wish Ethan well on his adventure.
New Business:
The Community Center will host the Second Annual Cook-off at Community Center on September 11th. Contact Vivian at the Center for more information at 932-4000. New this year will be the Chuck Wagon Camp.
The Chamber agreed to sponsor a team this year.
The Back to School Bash will be on August 14th at the Community Center starting at 10:00 AM. There will be free food, free health checks. police fingerprinting. There will also be fund raising booths. The Chamber decided to have a booth and sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts with all the proceeds to go buy much needed school supplies. We will start selling them on the 1st day of August and will be available for pick up at the Back to School Bash. Contact any chamber member to order. Cathy will make up the flyers for that.
Chamber agreed to use the shirts we had left over from last years Pumpkin Fest for this year.
The Pumpkin Fest will be on the 2nd of October. Contact Jessi Berry at 417-247-7241 or Cathy Tuttle at 417-331-6508 for more information.
We will start trying to line up bands for the event. If you are interested please contact Jessi or Cathy.
Rhabs will have a fish fry on October 2nd starting at 3:30 at the Mill.
The Senior Center will also be serving breakfast that day also.
We are looking for volunteers to work in the eat shack please contact Jessi or Cathy if you will be able to help.
Mr. Holden agreed to have his classes mark the square for us this year!! Yeah!!
Cathy Tuttle will bring snacks at the next meeting on August 12th. Hope to see you there!
